Objectives

✅ To enhance my teaching skills and gain recognition for outstanding classroom practice.

✅ To guide and support less experienced teachers by sharing effective teaching strategies.

Action Plan:

1. Engage in Professional Development: Before applying for Guru Cemerlang, I must strengthen my teaching skills. Through engaging in professional development programmes, I can gain more knowledge and experience to keep me relevant in current teaching practices.
2. Implement Innovative Teaching Techniques: This plan will help me apply new and effective strategies to improve my teaching practices and student learning outcomes.
3. Prepare for Guru Cemerlang Application: After 8 years of gaining experience and completing self-professional development, I am ready to submit the application for Guru Cemerlang.

The Relation of Becoming a Guru Cemerlang with the Stages of Teacher Development by MOE

Pursuing the Guru Cemerlang status is a significant milestone in my teaching career, and it aligns with the Six Stages of Teacher Development by the Malaysian Ministry of Education (MOE). Here’s how my goal fits into these stages:

🏫 Stage 3: Competent (Consultant & Mentor)

• At this stage, I am a teacher with solid skills in teaching and classroom management, capable of mentoring my peers.

🏫 Stage 4: Proficient (Leader of Change)

• As I move towards Guru Cemerlang, I will reach the Proficient stage, where I will take on more significant roles in my school.
